I think we are going to have to say good-bye to this guy. He is sitting in our basement - its unlikely that anything will be burned here anytime soon.

Dante's premiere fois de patinage

Dante's first time ice skating... not bad! He didn't want to go at first but once he was out there he had alot of fun.

they need to make insulated helmets for kids.

I also got my first pair - why are skates so hard to break in?! After just ten minutes it felt like my feet were in a vice. I think I have some mild bruising.

DANTE is 2 years old!

Our little baby is now 2 years old. I cannot believe it!!

Circus Time!!

So... Ubi has a really cool kids' christmas party: a day at Ecole De Cirque !! I really wanted to try some of these activities. The other cool thing is that the school has taken over an old church... its an interesting juxtoposition... flying trapeze above the pews, juggling on the alter.

Dante was at first tenative but eventually warmed up and had fun... it was right during his nap time so he had to call up his second wind for this.

Even Rowena had fun. I know she was dying to try the curtain thingy

I may have to sign up for the adult sessions. If I was able to do this when I was younger I would probably have ended up in a Circus.... Circus Vargas.

here comes the SNOW!!

So we have been anxiously awaiting the snow... Based on what the locals have told us-we really must be prepared. So we have most of our clothing taken care of... snow boots, snow pants lots of warm midlayers and wool socks. We have our Abri-Tempo up, at least the frame, got our snow shovels, salt and gravel... so, bring it on! This is an early blast of the white stuff - it only lasted 2 days.
